Karen created PeachSkinSheets out of her own need for a product that didn’t exist: comfortable, breathable sheets under $100.
When researching the existing sheets on the market, Karen, kept seeing the same problems over and over again. Hundreds of sheets were not soft upon opening the package—they required several trips through the washing machine to research her desired level of comfort.
Additionally, tons of sheets trapped heat and lacked the cooling, breathable quality for which she was looking for. In the rare case that a sheet set met these requirements, the price tag was at least $200-$300.
In 2013, PeachSkinSheets was born.
With dedication, perseverance and extensive research, Karen created the first ever luxury sheets at affordable prices. She ensured that the sheets were soft immediately upon arrival, breathable, temperature regulated, durable, and pill resistant.
FWM: PeachSkinSheets was derived from your Southern roots. Share your background.
The Original PeachSkinSheets® was founded in 2013 and is based in Atlanta, Georgia. We pride ourselves on being The Original, One and Only Authentic Brand, and our signature peach zipper pull is featured on every sheet package. You noticed that comfortable and breathable sheets that economically friendly didn’t exist.
FWM: Tell us about launching your company, PeachSkinSheets.
I knew that whichever product I chose to sell, it needed to be an eCommerce model, a consumable item that must be replaced, and easy to ship. I love fabrics, design and color, so bed sheets were a perfect match. They are a want and a necessity!
FWM: What challenges did you face while perfecting your product?
One of the greatest challenges was developing the right fabric and texture. It had to be ultra-soft, lightweight, and breathable, but durable too. A lot of the fabrics I sampled did not hold up to daily use and especially pets. Patience and perseverance resulted in a perfect fabric for our customers.
FWM: Are your sheets perfect for Hot Sleepers?
YES. PeachSkinSheets is made with SMART fabric to manage night sweats much better than other fabrics through breathability and moisture wicking to keep you cooler and drier throughout the night. The breathability PeachSkinSheets provide allows for better air circulation, which is amplified if you run a fan or air conditioning at night. We care about our customers. We set out to deliver solutions that keep cool sleepers warm and warm sleepers cool. I’m proud of the hard work and team effort that goes into making sheets that continue to exceed consumer expectations. FWM: What have you learned as an entrepreneur?
Always get more square footage than you think you need. In our first two years, we expanded four times due to growth, and no one likes to move. It’s expensive and requires time and energy that should be reserved for running your business. When the time comes to move, go at least 25% bigger than planned if you can afford it.
It’s important to create a structured schedule to help you stay on task, hire the right people, and delegate. You don’t have to do everything yourself. Invest in training others and that time will pay off in greater freedom to live life.

I am a HUGE dog lover but of course, love all animals. We donate returns, defective products and more to several local animal rescues. We also have #PeachSkinPets, and every month feature pet models on our sheets. They just make the world a happier place!
Also, another benefit to PeachSkinSheets is that it protects against pet hair. Pet hair does not “weave itself” into fabric, and high-performance yarns offer better protection against claws.
FWM: Do you plan any expansion in 2022?
We are planning to increase our international presence, expand our product line, and continue building awareness and recognition with key influencers and media.
