FWM: You’ve been an Entrepreneur with a mission to make a difference. One day everything changed. Tell us about what happened.

Since I can remember it has been my mission to make a difference in at least one person’s life a day and early on I found a love for entrepreneurship to be my vehicle to fulfill that mission. When I was growing my blog in college, only months away from graduation, a deadly bacteria sent my body into septic shock. I was induced into a medical coma and given a one-percent chance to live. This changed my entire life, not only from the experiences in the coma and intensive care unit that have been life-altering, but after this near-death experience I developed an autoimmune disease that I now have to live with forever. This led to years of suffering and it was debilitating. But it is through these tragic events that I learned how to adapt to what I cannot control so regardless of my circumstances, I can continue to pursue my mission.

FWM: What have you realized about yourself when you knew things are out of your control.

I realized I am only as strong as I make up my mind to be. When you focus on all the things out of your control, you give up ownership over your own life and begin to feel like a victim to circumstance, which is how I felt for many, many years. But one thing I know for sure is that even when there are so many things out of your control, you still have control over your own thoughts and it is through one thought at a time that we have the ability to shift our perception and change our life.

FWM: Tell us about Women Empower X.

Women Empower X is a platform focused on elevating diverse female voices in business. Our work focuses on helping women grow their business and brand by using their authentic voice across multiple platforms. We do this through our innovative membership focusing on the marketing side of growing your brand, our speaker’s academy to help women grow their brand through public speaking, and a new publishing division, WEX Press, offering women an opportunity to get their story published through a traditional press.

At the core of our company is our community. Over the last 5 years WEX has organically grown into a beautiful community of diverse women – all ages, backgrounds and industries – who truly value collaboration over competition and want to make an impact through the work they do.

FWM: How is Women Empower X changing lives?

WEX is changing lives through empowering women to use their authentic voice to turn their ideas into reality. We have hundreds of stories from our community on how WEX has changed their life, from a woman meeting a movie producer through our network and getting her idea for a film made that went on to receive multiple film awards to a woman finally deciding, after years of waiting, to register her business idea, which she ended up getting funded by someone she met through our community.

We provide the platform, the right energy, the ecosystem, and the tools to help women not only find success through the pursuit towards their dreams, but also meet a community who will support them along the way and make the journey a lot more fun!

FWM: Tell us about your new book, Adaptable.

Adaptable shares short personal stories linked to a transformational lesson to help readers adapt to the things they cannot control so regardless of the challenges they can thrive through any change and achieve the life they desire. It is a book I hope helps people re-discover hope and their light within, shifting their perspective on their current and past obstacles so they can turn any obstacle into an opportunity.

From lessons on resentment, fear of missing out, building a community, and opening up to the synchronicities of the world, I truly believe this book will change people’s lives. There is power in learning how to adapt and when you become adaptable, I truly believe you become unstoppable.

You can get a copy of Adaptable anywhere books are sold! Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Target, or any local bookstore online.

FWM: What is the secret to rising above the noise?

The secret to rising above the noise is sharing not just what you do with the world, but who you are. No one is you and that is your power.

I believe that is the only way to truly rise above the noise.

FWM: What is your vision for 2022?

In 2022, we plan on expanding the WEX Membership, a new venture we launched over the pandemic. We have seen the growth our members have from being part of this community and our vision is to help 1,000 entrepreneurs take their brand from unknown to unforgettable. We will also be re-launching our Speaker’s Academy in 2022 which I’m super excited about!

As for my book, Adaptable, my goal is to get it in the hands of as many readers as possible! My mission is to truly help change the way people perceive their life so they feel empowered to take action on their biggest goals and dreams, regardless of the challenges or circumstances they’ve been dealt. I plan on speaking and sharing vulnerable stories from the heart, while meeting readers at upcoming signings and really getting a chance to impact their life through our energy exchange.

Last but certainly not least, I will be launching a new live streaming show on YouTube called, The Alexa Rose Show! This live show will be focused on mindset, motivation and business.
