FWM: You have a fondness for adrenaline. Share your greatest adventures.
My greatest adventure. A tough choice really between what was the most physically and mentally challenging. Three come to mind. Summiting Mt Kilimanjaro. Backpacking Solo in Colorado. And swimming with sharks. I will have to choose the last however as that one scared me the most. It was many years ago now, but at the time I had only had my scuba diving certification for a matter of days and had almost always been terrified of what lurks beneath. I went out on a boat with a friend in Nassau Bahamas though to swim with reef sharks. I felt fine about it until we started to slow the boat near our mooring and I saw fins in all directions. I made my friend jump in first, naturally.. ha, and I soon followed with much hesitation. As scared as I was my nervousness eased slightly as the sharks really pay you no attention. I had one more moment of intense fear when I looked left once near the bottom and saw a huge shark coming right at me, he however or she just monied on by treating me just as if I was another shark. I soon realized they are so uninterested in us and very graceful. I love sharks and have a new found respect and appreciation for them after this adventure. I always look for them when diving now.
FWM: Is there a synergy between athleticism and entrepreneurship?
Yes absolutely there is a synergy between athleticism and entrepreneurship. As an athlete, I learned a lot of lessons as a child, that many people never learn or don’t learn until adulthood. I learned to be determined, to self-motivate, to manage my time, to look for the opportunities of success, to form good habits and work ethic, and never give up even when the going gets tough. My athleticism and experience as a competitive athlete shaped me completely and put a fire in me to lead, create, and go after what I want.
FWM: You have explored the world. What is your favorite place?
I don’t have a favorite place exactly, there have been many destinations that I fell in love with like Tanzania., The Canary Islands, the Azores, Norway the list goes on but it’s the people and character of a place or a trip that really sticks with me. I tend to have an excellent time just about everywhere. Always searching out the history, the culture, and the stories of the land I am visiting. I do really want to return to Cambodia though and I will never tire of the mountains, fjords, and reindeer in the north of Norway.
FWM: Tell us about being a host.
I love it because it’s gives me the opportunity to be a teacher of everything. I love to learn, and I love to share knowledge with others, and through hosting and acting I can do that. I also love to entertain, pretend, be silly, and make people laugh. I have a huge imagination and through acting and hosting I can share that with people.

FWM: You have worked as a stunt woman for blockbusters. Tell us about your experience.
I have been working as a stuntwoman for about 10 years now. It’s hard to explain this career in a paragraph as it’s been half of my adult life. As an athlete, the best part of the job is getting paid to perform. It is a blend of athleticism and acting to bring a character to life in a different way than a thespian does. Last year I worked on Castlerock Season 2 for a few months doubling Lizzy Caplan out in Massachusetts, followed by a month on Christopher Nolan’s Tenet and then this spring I worked on Red Notice with the Rock until the Pandemic hit. No show is the same. On Castlerock I did some driving, some wire work where I got to fly through the air and get thrown into a wall, get in fights, and fall a lot. On Tenet I played a soldier, firing weapons, running in combat gear, flying on Chinook choppers, and being around dangerous explosions. On a Red Notice, I worked as both a driving double and a stunt rigger, getting to be part of the team that makes the action come to life. Flying people, making fights crazier, launching actors and stunt doubles across platforms and stages and making all those unreal moments seem plausible.
FWM: Tell us about TravGanic.
TravGanic is an ecotourism and eco-hotel marketplace. I started it in 2015. We offer tours and hotels all over the globe that are certified sustainable. All of our partner companies have met stringent requirements in water, waste, energy, and emissions standards in order to qualify as a partner. Our goal is to create a hub where travelers can go to book tours and accommodations that are protecting the planet, giving back to the community, and reducing their footprint. We work with a lot of companies in Africa and are expanding into more markets every month.
FWM: Why are you a Formidable Woman?
I am a Formidable Woman because I believe I can do anything. If I don’t know how, I figure it out. I am a woman with immense passion for the planet, for people, and for my values. There has never been a space for me at any of the tables I have sat at, but I created one with hard work, perseverance and with grit. My advice to other women is to stop waiting for opportunities to fall in your lap, go out and make your own opportunities. When no one was hiring me as a host, I started my own channel and started producing my own content. Now I have won 5 Telly Awards for travel films I have created. When I had a hard time finding a sustainable hotel for my next vacation and couldn’t, I started my own company to provide that service. The world is full of people waiting for someone to give them a handout, but that attitude won’t get you very far.
