Lily Lisa is a multi-award winning producer, actor, businesswoman, and philanthropist. Originally from Hong Kong, and known as “Lucky Lily,” she knew from a very young age that she was destined to inspire others. Lily is passionate about giving back to her community and helping those less fortunate. Known for her strength of character as well as her talents, her efforts have earned multiple honors and she continues to work towards making a difference, and encouraging others to give back. Respect and admiration for Lily has grown within the Hollywood community not only for her work, but also for her elegant charm and style.
Lily Lisa was struck by the city’s growing homeless population and the disparity around her. After deciding that volunteering was not enough, Lily Lisa set out to make a documentary to increase global attention to the issue in an effort to inspire real change. As Executive Producer, director and host of the expose`, Lily Lisa successfully helped countless families and gave a voice to a community that needed it the most.
FWM: You knew you knew from a young age you were destined to inspire others. Why is this so important to you?
When I was young, I saw my parents help people, including the homeless. They always told me “you are blessed, if you have ability to help people, do it.”
FWM: You were recently named International Fashion Icon by the 31st Annual Producers Red Carpet Awards. What made this event so special?
The host of the event knows me and did additional research about who I am and my fashion choices. He gave an extremely touching introduction for my award. He had seen some of the designers I wear, in particular Stello, whom I have worn many times. Stello is known by many celebrities and the top supermodels. Also, every year China Luxury Group, Hurun Report invites me to attend their top annual event (Naming the richest people in China) because they love my style and simple elegance.
FWM: What does it take to be an International Fashion Icon? Can you share advice to aspiring entrepreneurs?
First of all, you have to have your own style and taste, along with confidence. It makes you unique. You need good fashion sense and need to follow your heart.
Secondly, One needs to work hard and believe in themselves. Don’t give up your dream. Tell yourself, “Always be kind.” Surround yourself with those who support your dream and always show your appreciation for those who help you along your journey.
FWM: Tell us about what we can find in the Lily Lisa Collection. Can you share the luxury favorites for the holidays?
First of all, the Lily Lisa Skin Care, the ingredients are all natural. Then, for all the holiday parties, including New Years. There are lots of accessories.
FWM: You were twice named “Most Elegant Lady” as Hurun Luxury Group’s Ambassador at the World Polo Cup Championship in China. What are you most proud of China?
Honestly, I love and respect China and America. I believe both countries, in the future, will come together in successful endeavors.
In the past, China was not a wealthy nation, but today there are many very wealthy people that contribute to society. That is what touches my heart.
FWM: You have been deeply moved by homelessness in LA. Tell us about your documentary “As Always Stay By Me.” What is your mission for your film?
The mission of my documentary is to encourage people to be kind and help others. It is not just the money, it has to be from your heart. The name “As Always Stay By Me” means that I will keep going in my endeavors. This is not just temporary, I live to be an example of my words and actions. I believe if others also do the little things to help, the world will be beautiful.
FWM: What do you want your legacy to be?
I want people to know kindness can change the world. It is like the ripple effect, starting with one and expanding infinitely.
