Los Angeles based celebrity jewelry designer, Joanne Kim Chang, launched her own jewelry line in 2004 after being inspired by the meaning of Louella as a beautiful warrior. Maison Louella is the ultimate fashion house for modern women who love fashion and want to express their natural beauty through jewelry. Over the years, they have amassed a trusted list of celebrity clientele, including the cast of Netflix’s Selling Sunset.
“Usually people can wear the same clothes, same handbags, and same shoes, but you can choose your own jewelry to reflect your inner beauty and wear them differently.
I think that expresses who you really are and shows your real identify as a woman and all woman desire to stay beautiful, unique, and confident.” said Joanne with passion in her eyes.

FWM: Where did your passion for designing jewelry begin?
From my childhood I always love wearing jewelry and designing jewelry always bring me so much joy. I love to see people wearing my jewelry.
FWM: Louella means “beautiful warrior.” How does this translate into your designs?
Just like diamond shining outside and strong inside. My jewelry design reflects inner and outer beauty for modern women. I want women to look beautiful and powerful when they wear my jewelry.

FWM: Tell us about the Black Diamond Collection.
Black diamond is unique and chic. I thought black diamond is not traditional fine jewelry materials so my black diamond collection shows modernism and it looks good with suits and casual clothing.
FWM: How does your jewelry exude confidence and elegance?
I try to design unique elegant jewelry with precious stones and metal so it feels special to wear them and cherish them over years. Women should feel like one of a kind when they wear my jewelry.
FWM: Share your favorite designs.
I love my Tahitian pearl earrings and black diamond earrings.
FWM: The holidays are around the corner, which elegant pieces would be perfect for a holiday party?
The tennis choker and tennis earrings are great for a holiday party.
