FWM: Who is Rianne and what is your superpower?
First word that came to mind is I am an Overcomer no matter what life has thrown at me, and let me tell you at times the struggle is real. To lose everything in life makes you appreciate what you have even more. I faced homelessness as a teenager, started working 2 jobs to help get my siblings out of foster care. And rebuild quickly. It helped me become the strong self motivated, independent woman I am today.
Lost everything again in Hurricane Katrina, finding myself having to restart all over. It taught me a greater appreciation just on life and humanity. With gods grace he always brought me back stronger. Always ready to help others become better versions of themselves. I never stopped trusting in God and thank him daily for his guidance. With every disappointment and challenge I’ve always been able to dust myself off and keep striving to do greater things.
FWM: How can women who want to do what you do gain access and support?
Don’t give up, dream big and don’t be afraid to ask for help. Write down your idea and keep adding to it until you are ready to make it a reality. See that plan through. There are tons of resources available when you are ready. Self motivate and move forward. Always treat people how you would want to be treated. For great success in business always have a good CPA, a business plan you can reflect back on as you grow, a trusting team to help expand, and an awesome banker that can add value and offer solutions.
FWM: You’re a serious BOSS! Tell us, what are you working on and what’s next for you?
I always make myself available to help business owners and entrepreneurs start their venture. What’s next for me is to give back to the community. I’m in the process of starting a mentorship/tutoring program called Blessings 2 Blessings Waymaker. Through the program we will offer motivational seminars, craft classes, and life skills. Our goal is to provide creative ways to help minority children and of at risk communities gain access to programs and information often not readily available to them. This will help with their personal development and success for a positive future in today’s society. With the ultimate goal to provide humanitarian work here and abroad over the coming years.
