After traveling the world for over thirty-three years teaching others about leadership, self-care, cultivating healthy relationships, and spiritual growth, all of this would be put to the test when Brenda Warren had a mental breakdown in 2013 while serving as the Director of Environmental Services at a Hospital. Diagnosed with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD) and Military Sexual Trauma (MST) in 2011, she was overmedicated, unheard by doctors and family. Their one size fits all approach to her care left her desperate to find her voice and “soulutions” to her ongoing issues, including chronic pain disorders.
Brenda now supports businesses and individuals to find their voices. She is known as the “soulutionist.” She teaches her TAPIN method using a mind, body, and soul approach to help people show Up and Power Up in their unique way to live a well-balanced life. Brenda shares her message across the country.
In her new book, “SOUL SEARCHING: GET ON BOARD FOR TRANSFORMATION USING THE TAPIN METHOD, using a mind, body, and soul approach to help people show Up and Power Up in their unique way to live a well-balanced life.
FWM: You have proudly served in our United States Military as a Marine. How did that time lead you to soul search and find your true purpose in life?
After being diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in 2011, I hid the doctor’s report from everyone, including my family. In 2013 I could no longer hide that I had a problem. It would take years for me to come to terms with my diagnosis. Once I did, I began to use my military training to dig my way back to a life worth living. The soul search was the first step in gaining clarity. During my soul search, I found my voice and knew I would become the voice for the voiceless and The Soulutionist was birthed.
FWM: “Does one size fit all?” How are you helping businesses and individuals find their voice?
No, one size does not fit all. Individuals and businesses need help to find support in the areas they struggle to get consistent results. I help them using my proprietary five-step TAPIN Method to locate the areas in need of help and focus on helping them reach their goals.
FWM: As a Life & Business Strategist, what are the challenges clients are facing today? How are you helping?
The top three concerns currently many are facing are work-life balance, financial constraints, and personal/professional development issues. Using my TAPIN Method, I help individuals and businesses get to the root of their concerns and map clear paths to make changes that get results. I will use work life balance as an example. Tell yourself your day ends at 6:00 PM and turn off all of your work-related equipment. Have someone in your household or close to you hold you accountable for the workday ending. Prepare your environment to ensure your work can be put away or move to the side when your day ends. Imagine the peace you will enjoy when you choose to find the balance between work and leisure. Finally, nurture your work life balance.
FWM: Life will give you detours… Please finish the sentence.
However, Life is choice-driven the choices you make today will be the reality you live tomorrow. Choose wisely.
FWM: “Soul searching get on board for transforming using the TAPIN Method.” What is the TAPIN Method? Why is it so important?
The TAPIN Method is a five-step process designed to help you get clear on what you want: Transform, Announce/Accountability, Prepare, Imagine and Nurture. Each step is important as they are designed to guide you toward changes that will place you solidly on the road to removing limiting beliefs.
FWM: How has using the TAPIN Method changed your life?
I use TAPIN to remove myself from a toxic relationship, lose sixty pounds, become debt-free and start living my best life unapologetically.
