FWM: Why is the 4th of July different from previous years?

Previously the USA celebrated to the world its independence and position in the world economy. Today, I think we are more inwardly focused. We are working hard to solve this pandemic. We are working hard to save our economy. But we are still AMERICA, We are still proud of who we are, where we have been and where we are going. We believe in the USA! We as Americans persevere and that is what makes us great!

FWM: What do you want people to know about USA Mfg?

USA Loves Manufacturing isn’t about one person. It is a movement. It is a revolution across America where manufacturing at home is recognized and celebrated. It is a crusade where the message is simple.

o Make it in America.
o Buy American.
o Partner with other American manufacturers.
o Make America great and Be Proud of Who We Are.

FWM: Current economic climate?

It’s tough for some and tougher for others. Core businesses that supply food and other key essentials are doing fine. Discretionary spending is halted for many Americans, the economic slowdown has crushed the Hospitality, Energy & Airline sectors. I believe the ripple effect will be significant but I also believe we can persevere.

FWM: What is your story?

I grew up in the South in Georgia and have been blessed with a good upbringing to parents that were dedicated to teaching values and a respect for everyone. I attended University of Georgia and received a degree in Business (BBA) and Marketing. After college, I lived in New York City, Los Angeles, and traveled a good bit before returning to Georgia and making it my home. I have worked in the technology and now manufacturing industry for 15 plus years. I was in the cellular industry as a salesperson, owner of a business, and then the manufacturing industry as Director of Sales and now President of Magenta Technologies and USA Loves Manufacturing.

My passion is factory automation and robotics because I get excited thinking about the potential they bring to the business making them more profitable and efficient which in turn creates new possibilities for the USA. I see synergies among my clients where partnering on products, technology, suppliers, and customers can create bigger possibilities than going it alone.

· USA Loves Manufacturing was my idea to do two things:
o Promote and spotlight all the small to medium manufacturers in the US who hire the backbone of our nation. We also celebrate larger manufacturing and it’s tremendous positive impact on our nation.

o I wanted to create a forum to discuss issues but more importantly create partnerships where everyone wins through communication and greater cooperation.

My company Magenta Technologies was created to provide reliability solutions for the manufacturing & technology industry. I am very excited to help bring about the next wave for our industry, our country and our world.

FWM: What does being an American look like in 2020?

Right now it means responsibility. It means wearing a mask.
· It means acting with awareness and being smart.
· It means adapting to a new normal and figuring out how to thrive in the new normal.
· It mostly means leading differently. Remotely, Engaging, and Empathetic. It means reaching out farther to connect to employees, neighbors, friends, and relatives in ways never considered before. Buying American has never been more important. Reshoring initiatives are crucial to create a safer, stronger America, and now is our time. As a nation, history has taught us we stand stronger when we stand together, brother to brother. We are all different from different backgrounds and with different facets in life. To sustain and continue to create a solid foundation for our future we must stand together, support, and Believe in the USA. I am dedicated to being a crusader for this movement and for our Great Nation!
