Vickie Gould is an intuitive writing coach, publisher of Morning Oak Publishing, and 10x best selling author. As a result of working with her, Vickie’s clients become best selling authors who are able to leverage their stories, grow their following, create more impact, and turn their readers into clients while they sleep. Her 110 best selling clients span 4 continents, 14 countries and 22 states and include a former Canadian Olympic track star, a female Golden Globe boxing champ, former school teacher, non profit organization, a mom and autistic daughter duo and “regular” people from all walks of life.
FWM: You are an intuitive writing coach and publisher. Tell us about your background.
Growing up, my favorite subjects were art, math, and English, in that order. I always knew that I would write a book one day, but I didn’t realize I would be helping other people write theirs too.
Initially, I started out as a wellness coach, then changed to become a storytelling marketing coach. When people found out I had written best-selling books, they started to ask me to help them with theirs, but I told them that I wasn’t that kind of coach. Then one day, a friend of mine asked how storytelling marketing is different from being a writing coach. Both taught storytelling. Both taught marketing. That’s when I started to agree to the request to coach people to write best sellers. So, in a way, becoming an intuitive writing coach found me.
FWM: What are trends that you are seeing today in publishing?
More and more people are turning to self-publishing. About 70,000 new books are released every month because of the ease of self-publishing. That’s good and bad for the industry. Because there’s no quality control, anyone can publish a book. Since it’s so easy, books can come out faster, rather than wait potentially a year or more with traditional publishing.

FWM: You have 110 best-selling clients globally. What is your key to success?
I’m always willing to try new things and test out strategies. There were many times that I put out freebies, content, or offers that flopped. I trusted that what I desired was already on its way to me and that I would figure out the best way to attract my most ideal clients. I’m also a certified Law of Attraction Practitioner so I put those concepts to work as well.
FWM: What advice would you give to new authors?
If you have a calling to write a book, that heart-tug will never go away until you write it. Think of this calling as a gift and do it now instead of putting it off. It doesn’t need to be perfect, just come from an inspired place.
There’s no such thing as writer’s block; it’s just clarity block. Get clarity around why you’re writing your book, who you’re writing it for, what transformation you want to give your readers. Then the book will start to fall out of your head.
FWM: As an intuitive writing coach, what are the challenges faced by writers?
The biggest challenge writers face are all the “what if” questions that go through their heads. Questions such as: What if no one buys my book? What if no one wants to read it? What if I’m not a good storyteller? What if I’m not expert enough?
It’s these types of fears that lead to procrastination where authors either don’t start or don’t finish writing their book.
FWM: What are you most proud of?
My relationship with my children. My 25-year old daughter and I talk every day and my two sons bring me such joy just to hug them. I’m so very proud of all three of them. They’ve turned out to be such amazing human beings.
FWM: Share your projects/goals for 2021.
My word for 2021 is consistency. I’m growing my YouTube channel, creating a new freebie lead magnet, and doing a couple free mini-course like I usually do. I’ve expanded this year with a new offer aside from my signature program, Easy Writer. The mastermind is called Quantum Accelerator.
